Introduction to Informatica MDM Hub

MDM MDM HUB

MDM Hub Server is the tool developed by Siperain and it's recently acquired by Informatica corporation. Informatica corporation has renamed it to Informatica MDM Hub Server and the current version is Informatica Hub Server 9.0.1

Informatica MDM Hub consists of three-tier model architecture.

1) Database Server
2) Application Server
3) User Interface layer

1) Database Server
Database server stores the metadata of the application. The database can be any relational management system such as Oracle,SQL Server, or DB2 etc.

2) Application Server
This tier takes care of security and access to the data. It is based on J2EE compliant application server, such as Websphere or Weblogic.

3) User Interface (UI) layer
This layer allows users to use Informatica MDM to perform their data management tasks. Access to this can be limited based on the roles & responsibilities of the users.

  13. Hi Man,

    Thanks for the timely post
, at least for me. I have encore time wondered about the transition, but somehow did not dare, because the information I came across very controversial.
But today, after reading your article I’m very confident to take up any challenges.

Informatica told me that they do not support a 32 bit version anymore with v10.0. (We don't support 32 bit anymore in V10)

Also the 64 bit version is not free of problems. I found the following in my download:
The file InformaticaDeveloperPlatform10.0.0_win_em64t.zip is incomplete because it is missing the DesignAPI libraries (jmf.jar file for example).

(Luckily the file InformaticaDeveloperPlatform10.0.0_linux_em64t.zip luckily did contain the DesignAPI libraries).

Excellent tutorials - very easy to understand with all the details. I hope you will continue to provide more such tutorials.
    Many Thanks,
    Morgan

  14. Hello There,

You make learning and reading addictive. All eyes fixed on you. Thank you being such a good and trust worthy guide.

could you please check the link again that you've sent? I only get an error message that a Sharepoint error had occurred.
As of my understanding the PowerExchange products cannot be used with PowerCenter Express (PCX). PCX does provide quite a few connectivity options so if you can find some ODBC or JDBC driver to access SFDC you might be able to get your job done.
Otherwise I fear you will have to switch to one of the full-fledged PowerCenter or Informatica Data Quality products.

But great job man, do keep posted with the new updates.

    Best Regards,
    Asha

  15. Hi There,

That’s really cool…. I followed these instructions and it was like boom… it worked well..

How Delta detection <a href="https://medium.com/@infamdm02/mdm-tutorial-b3d750f5df3d> will happen </a>at staging level and BO level ? What are the key fields for Delta detection in both places?

Anyways great write up, your efforts are much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Preethi

  16. Hi There,

THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this! I would love to buy you a coffee since I now won’t be up all night that has been driving me crazy (until now!!). I just wish I knew what was going wrong but so glad it’s in the right place now! Thanks again:)

The same case with the PUT API, Informatica MDM Training USA while creating a PUT request we have to to provide PKEY_SRC_OBJECT (in case of update we can provide value for ROWID_OBJECT or for both). So, MDM will perform the check on PKEY_SRC_OBJECT, if it exits then update the record else will create a new record.

I look forward to see your next updates.
    Obrigado,
    Irene Hynes
